I’ve been using Markdown a lot lately on my Mac but when I’m at work I found it difficult to use because I’m using Windows. There aren’t a lot of native Markdown tools for Windows and I kept running into roadblocks trying to use Perl (and the original Perl script) and compiling a C++ version. Then I found Pandoc, “a universal document converter”, my savior.
After installing Pandoc I quickly integrated it into UltraEdit, my favorite text editor. When you install Pandoc make sure to check the option to add it to your path. Go to Advanced→Tool Configuration and use my screencaps as a guideline.
